Good News for the city of Memphis

If the Men's and Women's Basketball teams continue to play well heading into the C-USA Tournament, both teams will clinch a berth into the NCAA tournament. Both programs have one lost each in their conference and both teams are catching their strives at the right time. The Women's team will host Southern Miss this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Elma Roane Fieldhouse. As for the Men's Basketball team, they will be going on the road to face Southern Miss; this game will start at 7:00 p.m.

Hello everyone, hope all Tiger fans got the game yesterday and as March approaches us, Tigers are going to be making a strong push for the regular season championship crown in Conference USA and hopefully a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Tigers Did It

The Memphis Tigers defeated the Marshall Thundering Herd with the final being 83-76. Will Barton was the Tigers leading scorer with 29 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. The Tigers improved their conference record to 6-1 and are now 15-6 overall. The next game for the Tigers will be this upcoming Wednesday against Southern Miss.

I failed to mention yesterday before the end of the game between the Memphis Tigers and Rice Owls that there was a scuffle between both teams and multiple players were ejected including Tarik Black and Will Barton. The good news is that Tarik Black and Will Barton will not be suspended and will be eligible to play in Saturday's game against the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Congrats to the Memphis Tigers for their win over Rice with the final score being 73-51. Chris Crawford was the top performer for the Tigers tonight as he finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 ast, 1 stl, and 1 block. The Tigers are now 14-6 overall with a 5-1 record in Conference USA which is the best record in the conference as of right now. The next game for the Tigers will be this Saturday night at the Fedex Forum in Memphis, TN against the Marshall Thundering Herd (13-7 overall; 4-2 Conference USA)
